Hello!
Welcome to
EMH.
Life is complicated and it’s so easy to lose your sense of balance. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out when you need help, let alone admit that you need it. Feelings of overwhelm, helplessness, loneliness, anger, and fear can cause us to distance ourselves from friends and loved ones. Isolation can intensify these feelings and oftentimes leads to cycles of depression and anxiety. Worry, sadness, and anger can surface and impact the way we relate to others. I can provide a supportive, non-judgmental, and encouraging space where clients can work through their thoughts and emotions, and learn how to harness their strengths to get through challenges to keep moving forward.
My job as a therapist is to help you to identify and access your internal strength and power to accomplish your goals. I utilize strategies that work for each specific client so that you can feel free and safe to explore and express in a way that feels best for you. I believe that the first step to effective therapy is earning your trust. Some ways I work toward this is by encouraging transparency, utilizing humor and playfulness, and by checking in on how you are feeling about your therapeutic journey and progress. I enjoy working with people from a person-centered and solution-focused approach, working to first develop a relationship with my clients and then helping them to find insights and solutions within themselves to lead the type of life they want to live. I use an attachment lens to guide my work, meaning that I emphasize fostering close, healthy relationships to help clients heal and reach their fullest potential. I also consider how people’s various identities, societal expectations, and the larger systems that we exist in play a part in how we experience and perceive our problems and challenges.
As your therapist, I will walk alongside you on your journey to reaching your highest potential. Together, we can find a path toward healing, wellness, and empowerment.
I want you to be emboldened to become the best version of yourself.
